Summer 2020
The summer of 2020 will long be remembered for the nationwide lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Hungerford Primary School remained open to the children of key workers and vulnerable children from 23rd March and through the Easter & May half-term holidays until 21st July. Foundation, Year 1 and Year 6 children returned starting from 8th June full-time with a Friday lunchtime finish. The purchase of a marquee and the generosity of the John O'Gaunt School in allowing one of our 'bubbles' to use a seperate mobile classroom on their site, meant that Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 & Year 5 pupils were invited to return on a part-time basis. In total, 67% of children were able to return on either a full or part-time basis for some of the summer term.
