Foundation

We are Foundation. We have two classes; Starfish, whose teachers are Mrs Smith and Mrs Carter and Dolphins, whose teachers is Mrs Maidment. Read the Foundation Curriculum information for this term, and our latest newsletter.

Spring Term 2022 - Why Do I Need a Home?

This term the Foundation Stage children are thinking about why it is important to have a home and what makes it special. They will be learning their home address and describing where they live.  The children will lean what to do if they get lost or feel unsafe.  They will be exploring different types of homes around the world using Google Earth and investigating why homes are suitable to different places in the world.

Walk Around Hungerford

During January, the Foundation children went out and about in groups Hungerford to look at different sorts of homes in their local vicinity. They walked down Hungerford High Street and to the canal bridge, stopping to look at different sorts of houses, flats and shops as they went.

Autumn Term 1: Settling In

This term the Foundation children spent time settling into school environment.  They enjoyed making new friends and developing their independence to look after their own belongings and finding and using the different resorces in the classroom area.
