Platinum Jubilee Party
On Friday 27th May 2022, all the children at Hungerford Primary dressed in red, white and blue to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. The children all had a special Jubilee picnic outside and when the "Queen" arrived, the whole school stood and sang God Save the Queen, while waving their Jubilee flags. One child from each class had won the "Decorate a plate fit for a Queen" competition, the prize for which was to sit at the top table with the Queen and Headteacher. During the afternoon, each year group performed a song they had chosen from one of the decades of the Queen's reign. At the end of the afternoon, two children from our Foundation classes presented the "Queen" with some flowers and chocolates to thank her for visiting our school.
Many thanks to Culinera, our school caterers, for the delicious picnic lunch and to Stuart March, Stuart March Photography, for coming along to photograph this special event (more photos to be added in due course).
